A distinct advantage of an AFH is the smaller, more intimate setting where there is usually a maximum of 6 residents vs an assisted living facility where there can be hundreds of residents. In a larger facility, a single caregiver can be responsible for 15 or more residents!

The monthly cost varies depending on the level of care needed. Generally, the cost will range from $8500 per month for modest care, to $14000 per month for intensive / hospice level care. Our monthly rates are all-inclusive with the exception of transportation. Please see our disclosure of services for more details.

There is a resident manager living on-site who is highly skilled in direct caregiving and will be in the AFH routinely. Additionally, there will be a minimum of 1 caregiver in the AFH at all times, including awake staff overnight. When the census is above 4 residents, or when resident care level dictates, 2 or more caregivers will be in the AFH during the day. 

Yes, our Resident Manager, Kelly, lives on site. She is a tremendous resource for our caregivers and residents. She will be in the AFH on a routine basis ensuring the highest level of care is provided.

Yes, the owner / Administrator, Matthew, is a highly experienced RN and is available 24/7 for consultation and assessment. When required and permitted, he will provide direct resident care within the RN scope of practice.

All rooms are private, single occupancy. They are oversized, measuring between 120 and 140 square feet each. Most of our rooms have a private bathroom. All of our bedrooms feature wall-mounted flat screen smart TVs able to screen share with our community phones, enabling residents to video call family and friends on an oversized screen. Every room has a large window with territorial views of our beautifully treed 5 acres. We enjoy frequent visits from wild turkeys, eagles and deer.
